Before

Well, we are finally doing it. We are replacing most of the flooring in our house. We're getting tile in the kitchen, entry, and hallway, as well as in both upstairs bathrooms and under the kitchen bar stools. We are getting new carpet in the living room, dining room, on the stairs and landing, and in all three bedrooms. I was going to show you the bedrooms upstairs, but I don't want to offend anyone. I'll just say that Natalie's ugly blue carpet suffered through her infant and toddler years when she liked to use a smelly "alternative media" to paint her carpet and her walls. We also have a cat who can't tell the difference between her litter box and a laundry basket, and Natalie often leaves her door open and laundry baskets sitting on the floor. Jonathan's room is currently occupied by Jonathan AND two parakeets and a lovebird who kick birdseed everywhere and shed feathers. Not a pretty sight. My room is overflowing with genealogy files and scrapbook supplies that I don't want anyone to see - and some really old wallpaper that I need to remove. I WILL show you all the "after" photos, though. I promise.

Leo and Alex are making a big mess, but that just means better floors are on their way!
