Okay, people. Until I get faster internet capability, I cannot post pictures to my blog. I have some really good ones, too, so this is very frustrating. What I'm going to do in the meantime is share some of my profound thoughts, or the profound thoughts of others, or both.
Here's a quote I saw today: "Expecting the world to treat you well because you're a nice person is like expecting an angry bull not to charge you because you're a vegetarian." I forget who said it.
And my profound thought of the day - I love a happy surprise. I hate unmet expectations. If I expect nothing, I will often be happily surprised.
Word of the day: cognate, from the Latin cognatus, which traces back to the Latin verb nasci, meaning "to be born." Meaning: related, especially by descent from the same ancestral language. Cognates of the word cognate are native, renaissance, and innate.
I think I'll call Comcast tomorrow...
