Natalie just finished her run as Winnifred in Once Upon A Mattress! In case you haven't seen the show, it is the musical adaptation of the story of the princess and the pea. Anyway, after five weeks of driving and sometimes living 40 miles away from home for rehearsals, we are at the end of a wonderful experience. Many friends came to see the show. THANK YOU all for your support. Natalie loved having people she knew in the audience. One of the funniest things that happened in the show was some improvisation Natalie did on the last night. For those of you who came on a different night, I'll explain: When she was on the giant bed in the second-to-last scene (where she is pounding out lumps in the bed, yelling at the nightingale, etc.), JUST before she started counting sheep, a small airplane flew over the theater. We could all hear it, and it could have been distracting, but Natalie used it as an opportunity to get a laugh. She acted like the airplane was just more sleep-inhibiting torture - she looked upward with her hand over her head in a self-protective stance and followed the sound with her whole body until it buzzed off. It was hilarious! We were cracking up in the audience. Her director told her later that her acting was brilliant.

Fun idea to do a decorated pineapple instead of flowers. Wish we could have seen her in action!
