Friday night, after the third night of Once Upon A Mattress, Natalie and I and her friend Becca went to Borders to stand in line to buy
Breaking Dawn, the latest book in the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer. I hadn't finished reading the first three books, but Natalie had, and she was eager to read the new one. We had wristband #127, and we stood in line until almost midnight. Then another of Natalie's friends called and told us the book was the same price at WalMart and there was NO line. So we ran to the car and raced over there just in time to be among the first few people to buy it.

In case you've been living in a cave for quite a while, the Twilight books are about Bella, a human teenage girl, and her romance with Edward, a vampire. I feel like I've had an encounter with a vampire, too. I went down yesterday morning and donated
blood. I took the opportunity, since they told me to take it easy for the rest of the day, to finish
Twilight. And as of 9:48 this morning, I'm 100 pages into
New Moon!

Fun. I liked the books (didn't LOVE them), and can't say that I would have stayed up to be the first to get them. I haven't even purchased them - I just borrow. Haven't decided if they are worth a spot in my "library". What do you think of the books?
