Well, he missed two out of the four flights he was supposed to take, but he made it home Friday. It worked out well, because his bags missed one flight and only arrived 20 minutes before he did. We are enjoying having him home. He really missed root beer, so I took a picture of his first swig. I'm also including a picture of his first dance since coming home. We went to a wedding reception Saturday and he was really uncomfortable with all his friends (the girls) hugging him, but he finally

got used to it and asked Rachel to dance - well, I think he sort of just grabbed her hand and pulled her onto the dance floor, but whatever. We had an open house for him last night. His souvenirs from Paraguay were all on display on the dining room table, and one souvenir in particular drew lots of attention. It's a cup made out of a cow's hoof, and you drink a Paraguayan herbal drink from it. The drink is mostly grass, but there's a straw that filters out the big pieces so you just get the juice. Here's a shot of Spencer enjoying the Paraguayan version of the Big Gulp.

Hey Spencer,
Sorry we missed you! I really wish we could have been there last night.
You need to come on down for a visit. Our door is always open.
Welcome home! We will really miss your letters.

I so enjoyed his talk. What a great guy...still have yet to meet him personally, but I'm wishing I had some single girls in mind to set him up with.
Gosh, wish we could have been there. I'm feeling pretty bummed right now. But we see you guys in less than two days. Can't wait. Better hurry and clean my "guest room"! ;)
